Grand democratic alliance leader and former Home Minister of Sindh Zulfikar Mirza is not being appointed as Governor Sindh.
Internet is being flooded today on Sunday with the rumors that GDA leader Zulfikar Mirza is being appointed as Governor Sindh.
Sources in the federal Government of Islamabad have categorically rejected the rumors and said neither Mirza nor Pasha is going to become the Governor of Sindh. Source also denied the chances of terminating the Sindh government and implementing Governor Rule in Sindh.
Rumors have been speculating on the Internet that Mirza will supersede Governor Sindh Imran Ismail. Some are also naming Former ISI chief General Shuja Pasha as upcoming governor Sindh.
Zulfikar Mirza is a former Home Minister of Sindh during the reign of the People’s party from 2009 to 2011.
Later, he split from the party and became a part of the grand democratic alliance made in Sindh against the Peoples Party in election 2018.
He was criticized for his support for the People’s Aman Committee in the old city areas of Karachi. He was also vocal against the then MQM Supremo, Altaf Hussain.
Mirza was removed from his office due to his controversial character as a Home Minister.
