National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has approved a probe against Rukhsana Bangash – political secretary of former president and Pakistan Peoples Party co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari for alleged misuse of power.
As per the details, the decision to investigate Rukhsana Bangash, the political secretary of the former president was taken in NAB’s executive board meeting headed by Chairman NAB Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal on Tuesday.
Furthermore, the meeting also approved an inquiry against Jamiat Ulema Islam’s (JUI-F) Akram Khan Durrani for misuse of power, along with three other investigations and a reference against Foreign Ministry officials involved in the corruption and the sale of Pakistan Embassy building in Jakarta.
In another instance, former Finance Minister and PML-N leader Miftah Ismail has refused to appear before NAB in LNG case, his lawyer has received NAB’s questionnaire. Mr Ismail has been given two weeks to submit his response.
