YouTube, the top video-sharing platform, on Friday, announced to donate US$5 million to Pakistan to assist in its efforts to curb the virus spread in the country.
Susan Wojcicki – YouTube’s Chief Executive Officer, in her letter to Prime Minister Imran Khan, lauded his government’s efforts against the coronavirus threat. She also highlighted the significance of coordinated joint efforts to tackle the virus outbreak.
Susah Wojcicki reaffirmed and reiterated her organization’s commitment to help and support Pakistan in this crisis.
Prior to this, Microsoft co-founder and world renowned philanthropist, Bill Gates has had a telephonic conversation with Prime Minister Imran Khan on April 29.
During the conversation, Bill Gates had lauded Prime Minister Imran Khan for his efforts to tackle the virus spread as well his focus on helping the poor segment of the society by providing them financial assistance to tackle the severe economic repercussions amid virus lockdown.
Prime Minister Imran Khan, also commended and expressed his gratitude for the efforts of Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, which has played a key role in assisting developing countries in fighting this crisis.
