Quetta: The Young Doctors Association (YDA) on Tuesday, announced to end its boycott after successful talks with the provincial administration.
The announcement to end the boycott was made in a joint press conference attended by provincial minister Zmarak Khan Achakzai and Young Doctors Association (YDA) president Dr Yasir Achakzai.
The provincial minister assured the provision of personal protection equipment (PPEs) to healthcare workers across the province. The government representative also hailed doctors and paramedical staff for their selfless services to counter COVID-19 outbreak and The Young Doctors Association (YDA) has reiterated its commitment to fulfil their duties and put aside all differences amid virus pandemic.
“We are putting in all our efforts to win the war against the coronavirus,” said Dr Yasir.
Police, on Monday, had baton-charged and arrested more than 100 doctors and paramedics, who staged a protest against the lack of essential safety gear required to deal with COVID-19 patients.
