Karachi: With 127 positive cases, Gulshan-e-Iqbal has emerged as the epicentre of COVID-19 outbreak in the city.
As per the statistics released by Sindh Director-General (DG) Health, Gulshan-e-Iqbal locality has reported the highest number of coronavirus cases followed by Saddar with 127 and 109 cases respectively.
A total of 493 COVID-19 cases have been reported in Karachi with, 141 cases in District Central, 38 – Korangi District, 64 – North Nazimabad, 42 – Jamshed Town, 41 – Malir, 30 – North Karachi and 28 coronavirus cases have been reported in Orangi.
Around 70 per cent of coronavirus patients in Karachi are male, while the rest of 30 per cent are female patients.
As per the statistics of Sindh Health Department, 219 out of 1,060 infections are aged between 20 to 29, 200 between 30-39 and 157 patients are aged between 40-49.
COVID-19 cases in the province have risen to 1,128, with 349 recoveries and 21 deaths so far.
