Watch a special documentary made by Sri Lankan officials to honor Prime Minister Imran Khan who was on a two-day visit to the south Asian country.
As per details, Sri Lankan Sports Ministry under Namal Rajapaksa prepared a special documentary in honor of PM Imran Khan and his struggle, success both as a sportsman and politician.
The 7-minute long documentary was played at the Inauguration Ceremony of Sri Lanka’s High Performance Sports Complex in Colombo.
The documentary features Pakistan’s journey from being the underdogs to winning the 1992 Cricket World Cup under Imran Khan who led the ‘cornered tigers’ to nation’s first cricket world cup win.

Several former Sri Lankan cricketers who played against Imran Khan have also been featured in the special documentary, praising his unmatched leadership skills and wishing him the same luck in the political domain as well.

PM Imran Khan’s Visit to Sri Lanka
PM Imran Khan was on a two-day visit to Sri Lanka on the invitation of his Sri Lankan counterpart Mahinda Rajapaksa. Prime Minister Imran Khan was accompanied by a high-level delegation, comprising Federal Ministers and senior Government officials.
This was the first visit by the Prime Minister of Pakistan to Sri Lanka since the formation of the new governments in both the countries, clearly reflecting the warmth and goodwill between the governments and peoples of the two countries.
During the visit, Prime Minister Imran Khan held delegation-level meetings with President Gotabaya Rajapaksa and Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa of Sri Lanka. Both sides comprehensively reviewed the multifaceted bilateral relationship in diverse fields of cooperation. The talks were held in a warm and cordial atmosphere, marked by mutual trust and respect.

Both sides reached broad consensus on ways and means to further strengthen cooperation in a comprehensive manner and agreed to hold frequent meetings; promote high-level and delegation-level exchanges; and enhance the process of consultations, cooperation and coordination between their respective institutions.
At least 5 major MoUs were signed between the two countries during PM Imran Khan’s visit.
The two sides also reviewed the extensive engagement that exists between the two countries in promoting cultural linkages, human resource development, and capacity building in diverse areas as well as educational and technical cooperation. The Pakistan side announced 100 scholarships in the field of medicines (MBBS and BDS) as part of the Pakistan-Sri Lanka Higher Education Cooperation Programme (PSLHECP).
