Karachi: Voice of Sindh has taken an initiative to introduce online course on citizen journalism in collaboration with MOOCS.
The agreement for joint venture was inked on March 19 at VOS head office. According to details, the joint venture has been agreed upon Najia Mir – head of VOS Youth Mobilization Council and a renowned anchorperson and Obaid Ur Rehman – president MOOCS.
Expressing his views on the momentous occasion Project Director Voice of Sindh (VOS) – Dr. Umair Haroon stated, “In the field of journalism, the knowledge of real world implications is as much necessary as the academics itself.”
The joint venture will facilitate university students who are interested in the dynamic field of journalism as the course ‘citizen journalism’ will enlighten the pupils regarding the practical application of journalism theories. The academics will be dealt by VOS while MOOCS will provide the necessary technical assistance in this regard.
