An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) has reserved its verdict in Imran Farooq murder case on Thursday (today).
As per the details, Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) contented during the hearing of the Imran Farooq murder case that the accused suspects carried out the planning and bought the tickets from Pakistan.
The hearing was presided by Judge Shahrukh Arjumand, and the accused suspects Khalid Shamim, Mohsin Ali and Moazzam Ali attended the court proceedings via video link.
FIA urged the court that the suspects are subjected to Pakistani laws and therefore must be sentenced accordingly.
The reserved verdict will be announced on June 18, said the court.
Prior to this, Shumaila Imran – the widow of late Imran Farooq, along with three eye witnesses had recorded their statements in Imran Farooq Murder case to ATC on February 4 earlier this year.
Dr Imran Farooq was a founding member of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and a former close aid to its leader Altaf Hussain. He fled Pakistan in 1999 and was residing in United Kingdom, where he was murdered in September 2010.
