Sindh government is expected to release Uzair Baloch, Nisar Morai and Baldia Factory Fire incident Joint Investigation (JIT) reports public today.
Addressing a press briefing on Sunday, Sindh government spokesperson Murtaza Wahab announced that the provincial government will be releasing JIT reports of notorious Lyari gangster Uzair Baloch, former chairman Fishermen Cooperative Society (FCS) Nisar Morai and Baldia factory fire incident that killed more than 200 people.
The development comes as Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader and Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Ali Zaidi has extensively contended for the release of JIT reports accusing senior leadership of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) of being associated with the criminals named in these JIT reports.

The JIT reports according to Ali Zaidi, name PPPs Asif Ali Zardari, Qadir Patel, Faryal Talpur and various other leaders of facilitating and using criminals like Uzair Baloch for their own political agenda – a claim strongly refuted by PPP spokesperson Murtaza Wahab who has demanded Zaidi’s resignation for lying on the floor of the house.
Prior to this, Ali Zaidi has filed a petition in Sindh High Court (SHC) seeking the release of JIT reports which the Sindh government was refusing to publicize. The court has then directed Sindh government to publicize the JIT reports, which was followed by another contempt of court petition filed by Ali Zaidi against Sindh government, as the latter was using delaying tactics and had failed to obey court orders.
