Security forces conducted Sanitization Operation in Dewagar, North Waziristan, on reported presence of terrorists, reported ISPR on Sunday.
According to Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), during the operation, Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) terrorist identified as Zahid ud Din, a resident of Dewaga was killed during the exchange of fire with security forces.
Terrorist Zahid ud Din was an active member of TTP in Dewagar and Kharseen areas. He remained actively involved in target killings, terrorist activities against Security Forces, extortion and planting IEDs, said ISPR.
Prior to this, security forces had killed Ashraf Ullah alias Toofani – a high level TTP commander in an area sanitization operation in Boya North Waziristan on April 3rd last week.
Meanwhile, TTP commander Mukarram was killed Kanju, Swat, during a security forces raid in March last month.
