Three people are said to have been killed in a factory fire in Karachi’s Baldia neighborhood on Wednesday (today).
As per details, fire broke out at the third flood of a factory in Karachi’s Baldia town. The blaze was put out by the fire brigade department after five hours using four fire tenders and one snorkel.
According to fire brigade officials, several people were left trapped in the building as there was no emergency exit in the building.
The deceased have been identified as Ali Sher, Mohammad Kazim and Fayyaz.
Meanwhile, factory owner named Imran has refuted the reports regarding the absence of fire extinguishers and emergency exits. The windows were shut down due to security reasons.
Provincial Minister Sohail Anwar Siyal also reached the incident site and noted that the blaze was the result of a short circuit.
