Chief Minister Punjab Usman Buzdar, on Friday, launched the book ‘The Monuments of Lahore’ aimed at highlighting the rich historical importance and landmarks of the city.
According to CM Usman Buzdar the book includes details regarding 83 historical buildings and landmarks of Lahore, which in fact are invaluable asset to Pakistani heritage and culture.
The book will play a key role in educating the younger generation about the rich, diverse and historically critical culture of Lahore and the importance of the city in Pakistan’s history.
Expressing his views on the occasion, Usman Buzdar stated that the countries that do not preserve, value and cherish their history and culture could never succeed and have always perished in the history of world.
Prior to this, Punjab government had earlier launched an application by the name of ‘Taleem ghar’ aimed at educating students and ensuring that they don’t suffer from any kind of economic loss as the educational institutions have been closed since March and will remain to do so till July 15 due to coronavirus outbreak in the country.
Furthermore, the federal government has also launched a ‘teleschool’ on state run Pakistan Television (PTV) to educate students from class one to eight.
