Tania Airdus, on Wednesday, stepped downed as special assistant to prime minister (SAPM) on Digital Pakistan initiative.
Tania Airdus took to social media to announce her resignation from the post of special assistant to Prime Minister Imran Khan on his Digital Pakistan initiative.
“In the greater public interest, I have submitted my resignation from the SAPM role,” she tweeted.
She has cited criticism directed towards government due to her citizenship status for her resignation.
“It has been an honour and privilege to serve you since earlier this year, I am grateful to you for reposing your trust in me. I always was and shall be a Pakistani,” she said in her resignation letter addressed to PM Imran Khan.
Moreover, she also reiterated her commitment to contribute towards the progress of Pakistan and vowed to serve the country via both public and private domains.
“I will always be available for any assistance that you may see fit,” she noted.
