Supreme Court of Pakistan (SC), on Thursday, criticized federal government over its failure to tackle the issue of unemployment in the country.
Chief Justice of Pakistan Gulzar Ahmed presided over the suo motu hearing of the case regarding coronavirus situation in the country and remarked that the federal government has done nothing other than paying lip service to solve the issue of unemployment in the country which has witnessed an exponential increase due to COVID-19 crisis.

The top court highlighted the fact that graduates across the country are facing unemployment as there are no jobs available due to the negligence of government.
“Health and education sectors have downgraded and the country’s economy has fallen. People need food, health, education, employment and petrol,” remarked the court.
