The Supreme Court of Pakistan has issued a notice to the Punjab government in the GHQ attack case.
The notice was served following a plea filed by former interior minister and Awami Muslim League chief Sheikh Rasheed for acquittal in GHQ attack case.
The court has directed the provincial government to submit a report in response to the appeal.
A three-member bench, headed by the Chief Justice, heard the case and adjourned the proceedings for two weeks.
Earlier, Awami Muslim League chief Sheikh Rasheed challenged his indictment in the GHQ attack case. Rasheed filed plea in the Supreme Court through his lawyer Sardar Abdul Razzaq Khan.
