The Citizens-Police Liaison Committee (CPLC), on Saturday, released a report indicating a significant spike in street crime in the month of April in Karachi.
According to the report, around 2,000 motorcycles, along with 69 four-wheelers were snatched or stolen while more than 832 cell phone snatchings were reported by Karachhiites in the month of April alone.
As per the statistics, the month of April saw 27 people being killed in the metropolitan city.
Furthermore, the police has claimed to have recovered 36 motorcycles, two four-wheelers and 26 cell phones in the city.
The report indicates a visible surge in street crimes as compared to the past few months, where 1,912 cell phone snatchings were reported along with 30 killings in January.
