Federal Education Minister Shafqat Mahmood has announced that special O level exams will be held from July 26th to August 6th.
Shafqat Mahmood took to social media to apprise that NCOC has allowed British Council to hold O level exams between July 26th and August 6th.
This kind of exam in July is unprecedented and I am happy that Cambridge is arranging it, he tweeted.
The federal minister accentuated that the step is aimed at facilitating O level students to start A level or FA/Fsc from September.
“British Council is fully authorized to conduct mini exams series from 26th July to 6th August 2021 subject to all approved COVID-19 SOPs existing for ‘A’ level,” reads the notification issued by Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training.

Shafqat Mahmood also accentuated that this pandemic has created immense difficulties in all walks of life but specially in education, he said.
We have been taking difficult decisions to ensure that education/ learning continues. Every decision has pros and cons but for us the interest/welfare of students is always paramount, added the federal minister.
The development comes as earlier, Federal Education Minister Shafqat Mahmood had announced that O level exams will be held in the October and November cycle and the same will be the case for A and AS level exams.
