Karachi: Sindh government has decided to promote students affected by the closing down of educational institutions due to coronavirus pandemic.
Provincial Minister for Education and Labour Mr. Saeed Ghani presided over a steering committee, on Monday, which was attended by secretary education, secretary colleges, DG private schools to discuss the issues of examination, academic year etc. The meeting resulted in the decision to promote students from grade one to eight on the basis of mid-term results in-order to prevent the loss of their academic year.
The decision comes as Sindh has been the epicenter of coronavirus outbreak in Pakistan, and educational institutions in the province have been closed till May 30.
