Karachi: Nasir Hussain Shah, Sindh Information Minister has appealed to the Tableeghi Jamaat members to cooperate with government and strictly abide by advisories issued by provincial administration.
In a video message, provincial minister stated, “I’m humbly requesting our respected elders, friends, and brothers who have arrived in our Sindh province to remain wherever they are and to completely adhere to the Sindh government’s health advisory.”
He further requested Tableeghi Jamaat members to abstain from any kind of travelling and practice self-isolation as a precautionary measure.
Shah noted that provincial government has undertook necessary measures to ensure that Tableeghi Jamaat members are being taken care of and that their needs are being addressed by local administration.
Nasir Shah expressed his gratitude towards notable religious figures such as Maulana Tariq Jameel for backing government’s measures to curb the virus outbreak.
Earlier, Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah had directed the DCs to keep the Tableeghi Jamaat people (returned from Raiwind) in isolation with the orders to provide food, water, fruit and tea to the people of Tableeghi Jamaat at the isolation centres.
