Sindh government has announced to reopen the shrine of Lal Shahbaz Qalandar in Sehwan for devotees from May 28, Thursday.
As per the details, coronavirus SOPs and guidelines will be strictly implemented for both the staff and the devotees visiting the shrine, said Auqaf chief administrator.
The development comes as earlier, Sindh government had suspended the annual urs celebrations of the Sufi saint on accounts of COVID-19 threat. The annual three-day urs celebrations were supposed to start on April 12.
It is to be noted that the federal government has provincial government had banned large public gatherings, political and religious processions and had ordered the closure of various shrines across the country in a bid to curb the virus spread.
Sindh has reported a total of 23,507 confirmed coronavirus cases, with 8,515 recoveries and 374 casualties so far.
