Sindh government has written issued a letter of intent to procure 10 million CanSinoBio COVID-19 vaccine doses for provincial inoculation drive against the novel virus.
Murtaza Wahab – advisor to CM Sindh, took to social media to apprise that Sindh government has written to AJM Pharma – CanSinoBio’s representative company, to procure 10 million COVID-19 vaccines to increase coronavirus inoculation process in the province.

However, it is to be noted that this letter of intent is not the final agreement, but rather it serves as a letter for advanced booking. The final purchase agreement will be signed between the Health Department and Official Distributor of CanSino Biologics, China in Pakistan.
The development comes as earlier, Sindh High Court (SHC) in its verdict had allowed the sale of Russia’s Sputnik V COVID-19 vaccine.
Meanwhile, according to Sindh Health Minister – Dr Azra Pechuho, Sindh government has allotted Rs 500 million to directly purchase the coronavirus vaccine from China’s CanSino Biologics.
