Sindh government, on Wednesday, will present its Rs 1.25 trillion budget for the fiscal year 2020-21.
Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah will present the province’s Rs 1.25 trillion budget in Sindh Assembly on Wednesday (today).
Sources say that the provincial government is expected to allocate a sum somewhere between Rs 5-10 billion for its fight against COVID-19 coronavirus, whereas the province’s development budget is expected to be around Rs 233 billion.

Furthermore, Sindh government is expected to allocate Rs 15 billion and Rs 12.17 billion for district development programme and local body institutions respectively. Meanwhile, a sum of Rs 55 billion is expected to be fixed for various foreign-aided projects.
In addition to it, Sindh’s budget for the fiscal year 2020-21 is expected to ensure the provision of financial allocations for the Red, Blue, Orange line public transport projects in Karachi, while Rs 23 billion will be allocated for the establishment and renovation/up-gradation of five hospitals in the province.
