Sindh government has approved the increment of salaries of government employees by 10 per cent in its 2020-21 budget.
According to details, Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah, on Wednesday, presided over the cabinet meeting which approved an increment of 10 per cent in government employees’ salaries in the provincial budget for the fiscal year 2020-21.
Sources say that employees of grade 1 to 16 will benefit from a 10 per cent increase in their salaries, whereas salaries of officers of grade 17 and above will be increased by 5 per cent.

Moreover, government sources have stated that only 25 per cent of the lawmakers will attend the budget session, whereas the rest will attend the assembly session via video link. CM Murad Ali Shah is expected to present the provincial budget in the session scheduled at 2 pm today.
The Rs 1.25 trillion budget is also expected to have especial financial provisions for Malir Expressway and Karachi-Thatta double-track road worth up to Rs 7.2 billion and Rs 1.86 billion respectively.
