Sindh government has announced its decision to keep current COVID-19 restrictions in the province in wake of increasing cases.
As per details, CM Sindh Murad Ali Shah chaired a meeting of provincial task forces on coronavirus which was also attended by provincial ministers, the chief secretary, IG, additional chief secretary home, Karachi commissioner and other relevant officials.
During the meeting, the forum was briefed upon the alarming increase in COVID-19 cases in the province. CM Sindh Murad Ali Shah highlighted that there were 1,232 coronavirus cases in the province on May 13th on Eid-ul-Fitr, whereas by on May 19, the cases were 2,076 cases, which is a 10.2% increase and shows that cases are increasing in Sindh. Karachi has reported 16.82% of these cases.
The rise in covid positive cases is of great concern. Karachi is in a critical situation & unless everyone follows & implements SOPs, strict administrative action will be taken to control the increase in infection rates. The chief minister also noted that Karachi reported 16.82 % of all these cases.
According to Health and Population Welfare Department Sindh, the rise in COVID-19 positive cases is of great concern. Karachi is in a critical situation and unless everyone follows and implements SOPs, strict administrative action will be taken to control the increase in infection rates.
