Sindh government spokesperson – Murtaza Wahab, on Monday announced the government’s decision to hold online assembly sessions in wake of COVID-19 crisis.
According to Murtaza Wahab, took to social media to announce that Sindh Assembly will soon become the first legislative assembly in Pakistan to conduct online assembly sessions to ensure the safety of its members in wake of the virus outbreak.
“Assembly would be amending its Rules today to add a provision allowing for the Speaker to hold online sessions of the Assembly,” he tweeted.

The development comes after several member parliamentarians of national assembly as well as provincial legislatives including Sindh Assembly have contracted the novel virus.
