KARACHI: Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed on Thursday assured Chief Minister of all-out support to clear Shikarpur’s kutcha area.
Rasheed called on CM Murad Ali Shah to discuss law and order situation prevalent in the province and the ongoing operation in Shikarpur.
The operation was conducted by Sindh police in the area on May 23 against eight dacoits. Two officers embraced martyrdom in the line of duty.
“We will provide whatever support Sindh needs from the federal government. If the police require help from the Rangers, or if the rangers require reinforcements, we will provide it,” said Rasheed.
Expressing his views, chief minister Murad Ali Shah said that the Sindh government was working ardently towards eliminating miscreants from interior Sindh.
“We eliminated a few riverine areas where we had problems with dacoits who had established hideouts, we are resolute in our struggle to eliminate all such problems and making Sindh a safer city.”
Rasheed said that the rangers were at the disposal of the Sindh government and they can use them as they deem fit to maintain law and order.
