Federal Minister for Pakistan Railways Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, on Thursday, announced that he has recovered from COVID-19 coronavirus.
Sheikh Rashid Ahmed had tested positive for COVID-19 coronavirus on June 8th earlier this month. However, his health deteriorated and he was shifted to Combined Military Hospital (CMH), Rawalpindi on the recommendation of medical experts.

Prior to this, several other politicians including Governor Sindh Imran Ismail, Sindh Education Minister Saeed Ghani and National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser had contracted the virus and later announced their recovery after their COVID-19 tests came back negative.
