Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) president Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday, secured extension of his pre-arrest bail from Lahore High Court (LHC).
The two-member LHC bench headed by Justice Sardar Ahmed Naeem heard the case of Assets beyond means against ex-chief minister Punjab Shehbaz Sharif.
During the hearing, the court asked Shehbaz Sharif’s lawyer Azam Nazir Tarar regarding his client’s absence from the court, to which Mr Nazir Tarar replied that his client Shehbaz Sharif has been advised by his doctors to exercise caution due to health concerns as he has recently recovered from COVID-19 coronavirus.

Furthermore, Shehbaz Sharif’s lawyer urged the judges to grant exemption from court appearance to Shehbaz Sharif over his health issues.
The court then approved Shehbaz Sharif’s plea for exemption from court appearance and extended his pre-arrest bail till July 16.
