National Assembly Opposition leader Shehbaz Sharif and his son Hamza Shehbaz – Punjab Assembly leader of the opposition secured interim bail in Ramzan Sugar Mills case on Monday (today).
PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif and his son Hamza Shehbaz appeared before additional district and sessions judge and filed their plea for pre-arrest bail in Ramzan Sugar Mills case.
During the hearing, Shehbaz Sharif contended that FIA had already questioned him for four months during the which he had repeatedly apprised authorities that neither he nor his children have any connection with the case.
Both Shehbaz Sharif’s and Hamza’s defence counsels urged the court to grant pre-arrest bail to their clients and adjourn the hearing till June in light of budget sessions in both NA and Punjab Assembly.
The court then awarded pre-arrest bail to both Shehbaz Sharif and son Hamza Shehbaz, barring Feral Investigation Agency (FIA) from apprehending the duo.
The development comes as FIA had summoned Shehbaz Sharif and Hamza Shehbaz for questioning in Ramzan Sugar Mills case on June 22nd Tuesday (tomorrow).
