Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif and son Hamza Shahbaz have been released on five-day parole on Friday (today).
National Assembly opposition leader Shehbaz Sharif, along with his son Hamza Shahbaz were released from Kot Lakhpat jail on a five-day parole.
The senior PML-N leaders had sought to be released for two-weeks on accounts on the passing away and due funeral proceedings of Begum Shamim Akhtar – Shehbaz Sharif and Nawaz Sharif’s mother.
The development comes as earlier, Chief Minister Punjab Usman Buzdar on Thursday, had approved Punjab Cabinet’s decision to grant five-day parole for the PML-N leaders.
It is pertinent to know that Shehbaz Sharif and Nawaz Sharif’s mother Begum Shamim Akhtar had passed away on November 22nd Sunday. She was 89 years old.
Her funeral prayers will be offered on Saturday and will be buried in Jati Umra.
