Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Karachi on a day-long visit on Wednesday (today) and is expected to meet senior Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leadership.
According to the National Assembly Opposition Leader his Karachi visit is aimed at expressing solidarity with the rain-hit people of Karachi who have immensely suffered due to urban flooding in the metropolis.
“Here to express my solidarity with the people of Karachi who braved the worst conditions created in wake of heavy downpours & urban flooding,” he tweeted.
Shehbaz Sharif further urged relevant parties to put aside political differences and jointly devise a comprehensive plan to address the issues faced by Karachi.
“All stakeholders need to sit together to work out a comprehensive & doable plan to uplift the megacity. Politics can wait for another day,” he added.
The opposition leader is also accompanied by party Secretary General Ahsan Iqbal and spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb.
Furthermore, the PML-N delegation is expected to meet PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari at Bilawal House today.
