Dr Shahbaz Gill has been appointed as special assistant to Prime Minister on political communication.
According to the notification issued by Cabinet Secretariat Dr Shahbaz Gill’s appointment as Prime Minister Imran Khan’s special assistant on political communication will be on honorary basis.
“The Prime Minister, In terms of rule 4(6) of the Rules of Business, 1973 read with serial No.1 A or Schedule-V-A of the said Rules has been pleased to appoint Dr. Shahbaz Gill as Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Political Communication, with immediate effect,” read the notification issued by Cabinet Secretariat.
It is to be noted that Shahbaz Gill had resigned as spokesperson to Chief Minister Punjab in September last year.
Fawad Chaudhry – Federal Minister for Science and Technology took to social media to congratulate Shahbaz Gill on his honorary appointment as special assistant on political communication.
With this development, Prime Imran Khan’s cabinet has reached 50 members including, 27 federal ministers, four state ministers, five advisers, and 14 special assistants.
