Multiple departments have been closed at Sindh Secretariat after several employees, officials tested positive for COVID-19 coronavirus.
According to details, multiple departments of Sindh Secretariat have been forced to shut down due to increasing number COVID-19 cases being reported at the complex.
Among those infected with the novel virus are Finance Department’s additional secretary, director and six other employees.
Meanwhile, several ministers and member parliaments (MPAs) have also contracted coronavirus are now in quarantine.
The development comes as earlier, Chief Minster Sindh Murad Ali Shah tested positive for COVID-19 coronavirus on November 16th Monday.
Murad Ali Shah got screened for COVID-19 after attending Friday prayers last week after experiencing mild fever.
The Chief Minister has not experienced any other COVID-19 symptoms with the exception of fever.
Pakistan’s COVID-19 tally stands at 363,380 cases with 7,230 deaths so far. Meanwhile; 2,208cases were reported in the last 24 hours along with 37 deaths.
Sindh has reported the highest number of coronavirus cases with 157,432 people being infected with the novel virus so far.
