Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) has included seven of Pakistan’s universities in its World University Rankings 2021 comprising of 1,000 varsities.
As per the details, National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) tops the list of Pakistani universities included in the rankings with coming at 355th position.
NUST is followed by Pakistan Institute of Engineering and Applied Sciences (PIEAS) and Quaid-i-Azam University (QU) ranked securing 373 and 454 positions respectively.

NUST, PIEAS and QU are the only Pakistani universities to be included in the top 500 universities of the world.
The other four universities include COMSATS Islamabad, Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore, and University of Punjab.
The list has been topped by Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) securing the first position, whereas Stanford University, and Harvard University have been named as the world’s second and third top most university.
