Security forces neutralized a high value TTP commander during an area sanitization operation in North Waziristan, reported ISPR on Saturday (toady).
According to Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), Security Forces conducted an Area Sanitization Operation in Boya, North Waziristan, on reported presence of terrorists.
During intense exchange of fire, terrorist Ashraf Ullah alias Toofani, resident of Boya was killed, reported ISPR.
Terrorist Ashraf Ullah was an active terrorist of TTP and remained involved in target killing, terrorist activities against Security Forces, extortion and planting Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs).
Prior to this, security forces had killed a TTP commander in Kanju, Swat, during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in March last month.
During the firefight, TTP terrorist —identified as Mukarram — was killed, while another terrorist was apprehended, whereas two civilian pedestrians had embraced martyrdom after the militants opened fire.
