Security forces on Thursday (today), busted a terror network in Sargodha and arrested seven militants conspiring instigating sectarian violence in the country.
As per details, Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) conducted joint a raid in collaboration with intelligence agencies in Sargodha against terrorists who planned to instigate sectarian violence in Pakistan.
The militants belong to Sipah e Muhammad – a banned terrorist outfit, who was conspiring to target public figures for inciting sectarian violence in the country.
The terrorists Aslam Hussain, Bharat Khan, Muhammad Ali, and Muhammad Iqbal were receiving directions for a neighboring country, said AIG Rai Tahir.
Heavy weapons and explosives have been confiscated from the miscreants.
However, leader of the terror network is at large and Pakistani authorities have approached Interpol for assisting in apprehending the wanted terrorist, added AIG Rai Tahir.
