LEAs have arrested more suspects in Lahore’s Johar Town blast case including a woman and a mechanic that purportedly prepared the explosives laden vehicle.
As per details, law enforcement agencies have apprehended a mechanic suspected of being a facilitator in Johar Town blast attack. The individual purportedly ‘prepared’ the vehicle that was used in the blast. He has been moved to an undisclosed location for further investigation.
Separately, security agencies have also apprehended a woman named Kiran from Lahore upon the information given by Peter Paul David, another suspect who was taken into custody a few days earlier.
The suspected woman was in frequent contact with Peter Paul David and would stay with him at a private hotel during latter’s stay in Lahore.
Furthermore, another suspected terrorist Sajjad Hussain has been arrested from Mandi Bahauddin. The suspect has reportedly admitted to facilitating in shifting the black sedan used in the terrorist attack.
Prior to this, LEAs had arrested Peter Paul David, who was offloaded from a Karachi-bound flight at Lahore Airport and was moved to undisclosed location for investigation.
The suspect is the owner of the vehicle used in the Johar Town Blast. involved in a scrap and a hotel business, shifted family to Pakistan from Bahrain in 2010 and had only returned to Karachi one and a half month back.
Peter Paul David’s travel history has revealed him moving between Karachi, Lahore and Dubai on a frequent basis; however, he has failed to provide any acceptable explanation regarding the purpose of his visits and activities.
However, security agencies have so far been unable to track and arrest the person who parked the car at the place of the incident.
A case has already been registered in CTD Lahore police station on the complaint of SHO Abid Baig. The FIR included 7ATA, 3/4 Explosives Act, 302, 324, 148/149 and other serious provisions.
