Sindh Education Minister Saeed Ghani, on Tuesday, reiterated Sindh government’s decision to not reopen educational institutions in the province amid the easing of lockdown measures.
The provincial minister, once again stressed upon the hazards of reopening educational institutions amid current virus situation stating that schools are last on government’s list as far as the lifting of lockdown restrictions are concerned.
Expressing his views on the possibility of resumption of public transport, Saeed Ghani stated that the final decision on this matter will be taken after the meeting between transporters and provincial transport minister.

It is to be noted that Saeed Ghani, had earlier warned that if COVID-19 cases continue to increase exponentially, the government might be forced to close educational institutions for another six months.
Earlier, Sindh government had decided to ease lockdown restrictions in the province allowing shops and markets to operate five days a week from 6 am to 7 pm.
Sindh’s coronavirus tally has reached 29,647 cases resulting in 503 deaths so far.
