Russia’s Energia space corporation has announced that it intends to take first tourist on space walk by the year 2023.
Energia space corporation has teamed up with an American company named Space Adventures to take two space tourists to the International Space Station (ISS) in 2023.
“We plan that one of the participants of the expedition will do a space walk from the Russian segment, together with a professional Russian cosmonaut,” read the statement issued by the Russian company.

The development comes after NASA and Richard Branson’s Virgin Galactic space tourism company signed an agreement to promote space tourism.
Additionally, Elon Musk’s SpaceX successfully transported astronauts to the ISS via reusable Crew Dragon spacecraft last month.
Previously, eight tourists have visited ISS between 2001 and 2009.
