Residential building is reported to have collapsed in Lyari’s Nayabad locality, injuring a kid and two other people.
As per the details among those injured in the incident include a 36-year old man named Umer, 32-year-old woman named Anum and a six year old child named Ayan. All of them have been shifted to Civil Hospital for minor injuries.
According to police no further injuries or casualties have been reported and the area is being cleared of debris.
Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) has been facing severe criticism for its complete failure to identify buildings with critical structural damage and further preventing illegal constructions.
Prior to this, on March 5, three residential buildings in the city’s Golimar area had collapsed killing 11 and wounding more than a dozen people.
