Renowned Religious Scholar Maulana Wahiduddin succumbed to COVID-19 and passed away at the age of 96 on Wednesday (today).
As per details, Maulana Wahiduddin had tested positive for COVID-19 and was shifted to Apollo Hospital in Delhi after his health deteriorated last week.
However, his son Zafarul-Islam has confirmed that the renowned religious scholar passed away on Wednesday (today).

The great Islamic scholar Maulana Wahiduddin Khan breathed his last, late this evening. Doctors failed to revive his sinking heart, he said while urging everyone to pray for his deceased father.
Born in Badharia village, in district Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh, India in 1925; Maulana Wahiduddin was known for his commentary on the Holy Quran and its translation into contemporary English.
For his services received the Demiurgus Peace International Award, under the patronage of the former Soviet President Mikhail Gorbachev, Padma Vibhushan and Padma Bhushan – India’s second and third highest civil award.
Maulana Wahiduddin is credited with more than 200 books. His notable work include;
