Mohammad Hameed Shahid – a renowned Urdu fiction writer, critic has said that Sindh has a rich culture and history and one which doesn’t need any explanation.
Expressing his views while visiting Voice of Sindh office in Karachi on Wednesday (today), Hameed Shahid shed light on Sindh’s culture, story and history.
Hameed Shahid is in Karachi for matters pertaining to International Urdu Conference and was duly invited to be interviews for Voice of Sindh’s new program titled ‘Baithak’
Project Director Voice of Sindh Dr Umair Haroon briefed the visiting dignitary regarding platform’s objectives, core principles and future ventures.
Hameed Shahid lauded Voice of Sindh’s efforts and expressed his best wishes for the future.
The gathering was also attended by other Voice of Sindh team members including Faiza Qureshi, Fawwad Raza, Chaudhry Osama Saeed, Mohammad Usman Jami, Rana Asif and Rafiullah Mian.
Mohammad Hameed Shahid is ranked amongst one of the most acclaimed Urdu writers in modern times. His has authored five fiction pieces, one novel and several books.
For his services, Hameed Shahid has also been bestowed with Tamgha-e-Imtiaz by government of Pakistan.
