Former Pakistan wicket-keeper batter, Rashid Latif, has called on all-rounder Imad Wasim to reconsider his choice to retire from international cricket.
Latif took to the social media platform ‘X’ and emphasized the valuable contribution Imad brings to the team, labeling him as Pakistan’s best spinner and a crucial asset with the bat.
“Imad Wasim should reconsider his retirement decision. He is Pakistan’s best spinner and can be very helpful in batting as well. If the team’s most effective player isn’t in the World Cup, it’s not just Imad’s loss, it’s Pakistan’s loss.”
“Mohammad Hafeez should strive to bring Imad back. If leagues need to be played, consider separation from the central contract, but keep yourself available for the Pakistan team,” Rashid Latif wrote.
Yesterday, the left-hand batter had officially announced his retirement from all formats of international cricket. It is worth noting that during his career, the 34-year-old participated in 55 ODI matches, accumulating 986 runs while also securing 44 wickets.
