Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader and former Prime Minister of Pakistan, Raja Pervaiz Ashraf on Thursday, has been acquitted Rental power plant case.
An accountability court, under Judge Mohammad Bashir, on Thursday acquitted former prime minister and senior PPP member Raja Pervaiz Ashraf in Rental Power Plant reference.
The court ruled that National Accountability Bureau (NAB) failed to prove any substantial evidence against Mr Ashraf and could not convince the court on corruption charges against the accused.
Furthermore, Shaukat Tareen, former Pesco MD Basharat Cheema and Shahid Rafique have also been acquitted by the accountability court as NAB failed to establish a solid case against them as well.
