Lahore: The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases at Raiwind tableeghi markaz has reached 41 after 14 more people test positive for novel virus. Punjab has reported 845 confirmed coronavirus cases, the highest in the country.
According to government sources, Raiwind Tableeghi Markez was presently housing approximately 600 preachers. The health teams have so far sent samples of around 110 of them for lab analysis, he said, adding the reports later confirmed 41 preachers as Covid-19 patients.
However, the total number of cases in Raiwind l have jumped to 107 with 178 patients under treatment in Lahore, 90 in Gujrat, 51 in Rawalpindi, 28 in Jhelum, 13 each in the Nankana Sahib and Gujranwala, 10 in Sargodha, nine in Faisalabad, five each in DG Khan and Hafizabad, four in Mandi Bahauddin, three each in Mianwali, Bahawalnagar and Rahim Yar Khan, two each in Multan, Vehari, Lodhran and Narowal and one each in Attock, Bahawalpur, Sialkot, Kasur, Layyah and Khushab.
So eleven people have died in Punjab due to COVID-19 coronavirus.
