LONDON: Queen Elizabeth II will deliver an address on television on coronavirus pandemic on April 5 in Britain and Commonwealth. The speech has been recorded already at the Windsor Castle.
The Queen had made three special broadcasts in her 68-year long reign. The last address was given in 2020 on the death of her mother while the other two were made in 1991 and 1997 due to Gulf War and death of Princess Diana.
According to the sources, there are 38,168 cases of COVID-19 in Britain, including the eldest son the Queen and heir to the throne Prince Charles and Prime Minister Boris Johnson.
The Queen and her husband are in “good health” and staying in their palace, taking all precautionary measures announced by the British government.
Britain government has imposed lockdown countrywide due to the pandemic that has taken lives of more 3600 people.
