Punjab is in need of up to 15,000 oxygen cylinders due to depleting health resources and continuous surge in COVID-19 patients.
According to details, Punjab government has decided to demand 10,000-15,000 oxygen cylinders from federal government.
The decision has been made in a meeting headed by Punjab Chief Secretary Jawwad Rafique Malik and Industries Minister Mian Muhammad Aslam Iqbal as the province’s health resources have been under severe stress and are depleting at an increased rate due to continuous influx of new coronavirus patients.

It is to be noted that patients suffering from COVID-19 coronavirus suffer from breathing issues, and they need to be put on supplementary oxygen supply to assist their lungs which are usually severely affected by the novel virus.
