projects Secretary Local Government, Housing and Town Planning Najam Ahmad Shah has said that all development schemes and construction projects of the province should be completed in time and the trend of unnecessary delay should be eradicated.
Najam Ahmad Shah in a performance review meeting of Karachi Development Authority (KDA) along with officials of Sindh Local Government Department said that promotion of public facilities and public interest is the main objective and first priority of Sindh Local Government Department. The meeting chaired by the Secretary Local Government reviewed the pace, completion period and expenditure of all ongoing projects of KDA.
Najam Ahmad Shah said that public difficulties and hardships should be minimized in the completion of long term projects, therefore all ongoing development projects should be speeded up and quality should be improved, every resettlement scheme should be completely free from corruption. To be kept clean, the Sindh Local Government Department will ensure full support and financial assistance to KDA, but no compromise will be made on timely completion of projects.
Briefing the Secretary Local Government, Housing and Town Planning on the development schemes in different areas of Karachi, it was informed that the ongoing development project on the shores of Manohra is also rapidly reaching its development stage and soon the people of the city will be entertained. The best and most comprehensive plan for will come true.
Najam Ahmad Shah on the occasion said that the infrastructure and local body structure of Karachi is being rehabilitated on an urgent basis, therefore full financial and departmental support is being provided to each linked department so that the city’s Colors and lights can be settled permanently.
The Secretary Local Government, Housing and Town Planning said that he has accepted the charge of Secretary LG Sindh as a challenge and departmental reform, elimination of corruption, improvement in the performance of employees are among his top priorities.
