Prominent Afghan leader Mohammad Karim Khalili met Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa at General Headquarters (GHQ) Rawalpindi today.
According to Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), Mr Mohammad Karim Khalili, Chairman Hizb-e-Wahadat Islami Afghanistan and former Chairman Afghan High Peace Council met with Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Tuesday (today).
Matters of mutual interest, peace and stability in the region, connectivity and current developments in Afghan Peace Process were discussed during the meeting, said ISPR.
During the meeting, Army Chief noted that ‘Peace in Afghanistan means Peace in Pakistan’. COAS highlighted that stable and prosperous Afghanistan at peace with itself and its neighbors is in Pakistan’s national interest.
Meanwhile, Mohammad Karim Khalili appreciated the positive role played by Pakistan and the COAS vision on future of Pak-Afghan relations.
