QUETTA: Prime Minister Imran Khan said that Balochistan will be affected the most because of poverty as loss of employment and closure of small businesses due to pandemic may bring great economic repercussions for the province.
In a meeting with cabinet members of Balochistan in Quetta, PM expressed his satisfaction that no patients from the province are critical yet.
During the meeting, PM warned that the health sector may be exhausted by the end of this month as the COVID-19 patients are expected to increase.
Governor of Balochistan Retired Justice Amanullah Khan, Commander of Southern Command Lt Gen Wasim Ashraf, Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan Alyani, Sardar Yar Mohammad Rind, Asad Umar, Sardar Yar Mohammad Rind and other provincial ministers were present in the meeting.
There are 219 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Baluchistan with 3 deaths reported so far.
